Growth & Adoption Lead (Ambassador)

During the break between finishing high school and starting university, I looked for an opportunity to gain early exposure to the AI industry and contribute to the growth of an emerging frontier AI research lab. I joined Z.ai in November and spent six months working as a Growth & Adoption Lead, focusing on improving developer adoption, community infrastructure, and product experimentation around GLM models.
- Built a multi stage NLP system for ZFushou that ingests user messages, applies TextTiling for semantic boundary detection, clusters related topics through centroid based vector matching and LLM analysis, and indexes embeddings in Qdrant, giving Z.ai teams and officials a daily and live view of every issue, with live automatic triggering for new cases, state changes, and resolutions through Supabase Edge Functions.
- Initiated and managed B2B conversations with YC backed teams, focusing on identifying high-leverage integration opportunities with GLM infrastructure.
- Conducted founder onboarding for Z.ai’s Startup Program, did one-on-one calls with early-stage founders to walk them through the program, assess fit, and clearly explain how it could support their product and growth needs.
- Built a full stack image generation product when GLM Image launched without a consumer platform, using Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, Prisma, Redis, and Clerk, with GLM 4.7 as the reasoning layer that turns vague inputs into structured prompts, supported by async generation state management, dual layer rate limiting, and edge cached public discovery.
- Built GLM Catalog to centralize rules, skills, MCP tools, and community projects, solving the problem of useful GLM work staying fragmented across personal repos and Discord threads.
